Painting exhibition at Poompuhar

A large number of paintings have been displayed at the annual exhibition brought up by the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited at its Poompuhar showroom in the city. The exhibition commenced on Monday.

Tanjore paintings, Ravi Varma paintings, brass paintings, glass paintings, cloth paintings, all procured from different parts of the country have been displayed at the exhibition. The minimum price of the paintings starts at Rs. 200 and a discount of ten per cent is offered on all paintings at the expo, according to Poompuhar sources.

It has been targeted to market Rs. 2 lakh worth paintings through this exhibition, which will be continued till May 13.
