Over 27,800 students appear in Erode

A total of 27,889 students, including 25 differently-abled candidates, appeared for the Plus Two public examinations at 73 examination centres in Erode district.

They constitute 13,338 students belonging to 91 schools in Erode educational district, and 14,551 students belonging to 101 schools in Gobichettipalayam educational district.

The students appeared for the exam at 36 examination centres in Erode educational district and 37 in Gobi educational district.

Additionally, private candidates appeared for the examinations at the CSI Boys' Higher Secondary School and CSI Girls' Higher Secondary

School. The only Tatkal examination centre was at Kamaraj Higher Secondary School in Erode city.

Accompanied by the Chief Educational Officer P. Ayyannan, District Collector S. Prabakar inspected the centre at Government Girls' Higher

Secondary School, Erode.

The CEO said flying squads have been constituted with 145 members. Question papers have been kept at nine centres under police

protection, Mr. Ayyannan said.

Availability of power, water and lavatory facilities have been ensured in all the centres.
