Over 2,600 farmers given aid in Cheyyar, Vandavasi constituencies

As many as 2,610 farmers or their family members from Vandavasi and Cheyyar constituencies were given welfare assistance totalling Rs. 2.12 crore under the Farmers Protection Scheme.

At a function in Cheyyar recently, HR & CE Minister Sevur S. Ramachandran handed over the benefits such as education assistance for the wards of farmers, compensation for the family in cases of family head’s natural death, marriage assistance, and compensation for accidents.

District Collector (in-charge) S. Palani presided over the function.

Cheyyar Sub-Collector Prabhu Sankar, Cheyyar MLA Dusi K. Mohan, Cheyyar Municipal Chairperson Pavai Ravichandran, and Special Deputy Collector (Social Security Schemes) V. Jothi participated in the function.
