Alleging that the AIADMK government had turned the clock back in all sectors, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam working president M.K. Stalin on Monday said putting an end to the government, which he alleged had indulged in horse trading, alone would save the State.

“I call upon the people of the State to complete the democratic task of removing the government,” he said in a statement. Recalling the Reserve Bank of India that Tamil Nadu’s growth in manufacturing sector was just 1.65%Mr. Stalin said the report bore testimony to the reality that industries were moving to other States instead of investing in Tamil Nadu.

“The Vision 2023 (unveiled by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa) is in a comatose state. The efforts to bring ₹15 lakh crore investment remain on paper and the MoUs signed at the Global Investors’ Meet are in limbo. But the AIADMK government is talking about holding another Global Investors’ Meet,” he said.
