OPS to vacate government bungalow

Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam is expected to vacate his government bungalow at Greenways Road soon.

Sources in the AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) camp told The Hindu that two more notices were served on him in the regard recently.

He has been asked to vacate the government accommodation after his resignation as Chief Minister.

He has rented a house in Venus Colony in Alwarpet. However, the house has been rented out on the condition that no political activity will be carried out from the premises.

“We need to find space for an office soon. Henceforth, our political meetings will happen from the election office being set up at R.K. Nagar near E.Madhusudhanan’s house,” the source said.
