An unidentified person was killed and two others injured in a fire accident reported in a cracker shop in Bharati Nagar in Sivakasi on Saturday night.
The cause of the fire was not known.
Police said that fire from the cracker shop and a godown nearby had spread to the street and an unidentified person was charred to death. The incident is said to have occurred at around 9.40 p.m.
Two others, injured in the accident, were rushed to the Government hospital here.
Fire and Rescue Service personnel were fighting the inferno, the police said.
