Notice for candidates who failed to submit accounts

Contesting assembly election candidates who failed to submit their accounts to the Returning Officer and Expenditure observer of the constituencies concerned on scheduled dates were given notice.

In Kalasapakkam constituency independent candidate E.Rajkumar and Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi candidate K.Murugadass failed to submit their accounts on May 5 and May 6 respectively.

Action possible

Returning Officer of the constituency P.Subramanian has sent notice to them to submit their accounts within 48 hours, failing which will attract action under section 77 of Representation of People Act 1951. R.Prabu Shankar, RO of Cheyyar constituency, has also sent similar notice to Nam Tamilar Katchi candidate Rajesh and Independent candidate Mohan for their failure to submit their accounts with bank pass book on May 6.
