The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) would never have alliance with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in future, the party’s MP and Chief Ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss said here on Wednesday.
Dr. Anbumani told reporters here on Wednesday that the Dravidian parties had only nurtured corruption and ensured the free flow of liquor leading to social and legal issues, besides thousands of fatal accidents. “The Tamil Nadu electorate, like the voters of Delhi who elected Aam Aadmi Party to power with a thumping majority, is angry with the present situation and will back the PMK in the next Assembly polls,” Dr. Anbumani said.
Prohibition, free and compulsory school education for all, ‘samacheer kalvi’ with CBSE curriculum, better healthcare system by establishing medical college hospitals in all districts, free agro inputs, stress on rural entrepreneurship with 80 per cent capital subsidy, construction of check-dam for every 5 km across rivers, separate budget for agriculture, Right to Services Act etc., were some of his poll promises at the press meet.
He slammed the AIADMK government for allowing the State to land in debt trap. “Only the governance to be given by the PMK alone will be a panacea for all ailments from which the State is suffering seriously,” he said.
On PMK’s caste affiliation, bifurcation of Tamil Nadu etc., Dr. Anbumani said: “I don’t carry any caste tag… Let’s forget what happened in the past and together work for a vibrant Tamil Nadu”. Party president G.K. Mani was present.
