No fishing for 12 days

August 23, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 07:41 am IST - PUDUKOTTAI:

Fishermen of Kottaipattinam have decided to stay away from fishing for 12 days from August 22 to September 2.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the fishermen convened here on Sunday. The resolution said that poor catch in the recent weeks had caused a serious economic setback to fishermen. As they could not realise adequate returns on their investment, they decided to stay away from fishing.
