The police encounter in which five persons were killed should be probed by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the supervision of the Madras High Court, ‘Evidence', a human rights organisation, said on Sunday.
Releasing the report of a fact-finding team A. Kathir, executive director of Evidence, questioned the police version that the five persons continued to stay in an apartment in Velachery even after the bank heist at Keelkattalai.
Mr Kathir said the police could have easily arrested the bank robbery suspects because the house in which they had stayed was in a narrow lane with a single entry and exit point.

I am glad that the NGOs righty want to ascertain if the police moved within the rules to kill the bank robbers and assassins. Can they also appreciate the fact that the police also got wounded and risked their lives to eliminate those robbers. If the police had failed in their mission, how many more robberies might have happened and how many more innocent laymen might have lost life? Did the NFOs make an estimate of these?
By saying as oral it is easy for any one, in action no one have the stuff to fight against this kind of persons, but our TN police have brave to face. Did any of the NHRC members raise voice against Mumbai attack, how many innocent people's lost their lives, but the person who killed is now in safely by the government.
Yes that's true. They have more chances to grab them alive instead of killing them.Everyone is bound to law irrespective of the post they hold.
