Music workshop for children

The Hindu Young World will present the ‘Rhapsody Summer Music 2016’, an annual innovative music workshop for children, at the Little Millennium, Young Star World in the city from April 18 – 23 for the first batch and from May 2 – 7 for the second batch.

Anil Srinivasan, pianist, and his team at Rhapsody, headed by pedagogue Sudha Raja, will be the curator.

Classes will be handled by musicians who have specialised in this unique approach of learning through music. The children will be allowed in the age group of 4 – 6, 7 – 10, and 11 – 14.

Participating children will be given a certificate and also opportunity to showcase what they have learnt at the valediction of the camp. Select students will be a part of the Voices-in-Harmony Challenge, scheduled in Chennai city on June 21. Course fee is Rs. 1,500. Log on to www.thehindu.com/summermusic to register names.
