Southern Railway will augment the Nellai Express and the Pothigai Express trains with each one air-conditioned three-tier coach.
An official statement said Train Number 12632 / 12631 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli Nellai Express will be augmented with one AC three-tier coach from March 12 onwards from Tirunelveli and from March 15 onwards from Chennai Egmore.
Train Number 12661 / 12662 Chennai Egmore – Shencottai – Chennai Egmore Pothigai Express will be augmented with one AC three-tier coach from March 13 onwards from Chennai Egmore and from March 14 onwards from Shencottai.
Second class coaches
Train Nos.56770/56769 Tiruchendur-Palani-Tiruchendur passengers will be temporarily augmented with two general second class coaches with effect from Thursday until further advice, a railway statement said.
