Pattali Makkal Katchi leader and former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss has appealed to the electors of the Vellore Lok Sabha constituency to vote for Pudhiya Needhi Katchi or New Justice Party (NJP) candidate A.C. Shanmugam, who is contesting on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lotus symbol, to ensure that the National Democratic Alliance swept the polls and Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.
“Mr. Modi will provide a good and stable government, reduce the prices of essential commodities and implement the much-needed river-link project,” he said at a campaign meeting here on Saturday night.
Dr. Anbumani said the electoral battle in Tami Nadu would be between the NDA and the AIADMK, while it would be between the NDA and the Congress at the national level. The people of Tamil Nadu were fed up with both the AIADMK and the DMK. “The BJP, the PMK, the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the NJP, the Indhiya Jananayaka Katchi and the Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi have formed this mega alliance to defeat both the AIADMK and the DMK,” he said.
