Minister for Tourism and Registration N. Suresh Rajan released the tourism song of the State to promote it as the cultural hub of the country.

Releasing five different versions of the song, Mr. Rajan said the inflow of tourists to the State was growing 20 per cent annually from the time the DMK government assumed office four years ago. Last year, it increased by 24.5 percent.

The Tourism Department was involved in the process of identifying and promoting lesser-known destinations by improving the infrastructure and initiatives such as introduction of tourist-friendly autos. The tourism song would be translated into different languages to reach out to potential tourists across the country.

Composed by music director Baradwaj, the five versions of the one-minute song capture the scenic beauty, temple architecture, wildlife and heritage sites, said V. Irai Anbu, Secretary, Tourism.
