Maoists case adjourned

The Judicial Magistrate Court here adjourned the hearing in the case against Maoists till September 28 on Monday.

The prosecution said that the police gunned down Maoist Naveen Prasad in an encounter near Asankodai on Upper Kodaiakanal hill in 2008. Twelve members of the ultra organisation absconded.

Three arrested

Later, three Maoists, Ranjith, Kannan and Neelamegam, were arrested in this connection.

Their case came up for hearing before Magistrate Sulaiman Sait Hussain through video conferencing..
