Man murders minor girl after rape bid
A 14-year-old girl was murdered by a man after an attempt to rape her near here on Thursday.
The girl is one of the three children of a migrant labourer mother and visually impaired father. They belong to Mazhuvambattu village near Vanapuram.
The girl, who lived with her mother and brother in Bengaluru, was at her village when her parents sent her home from a farm. While she was on her way back, the girl was stopped by Pandarinathan (36) of the same village. He allegedly forcibly carried her to a nearby sugarcane field where he attempted to rape her.
When she raised an alarm, he gagged and strangled her to death.
