Man gets 10-year RI for sexual assault on girl child

A Fast Track Mahila Court here sentenced a 35-year-old man to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for sexually abusing a three-year-old girl in March 2013.

According to the prosecution, P.Rajan in K.Paramathi police limits had lured three children on the promise of getting them chocolates while they were playing on the street. After taking them for a drive on his motorcycle, he had dropped the two boys, asking them to play. He had then taken the girl to his house and sexually assaulted her. Based on a complaint by her father, K. Paramathi police filed a case against Rajan.

M. Gunasekaran, Judge, Fast Track Mahila Court, who found Rajan guilty in the case, sentenced him to undergo 10 years imprisonment. The Judge also slapped a fine of Rs.5000 on the accused. In case of failure to pay the fine, he would have to undergo another six months imprisonment.
