The Mahila court here has sentenced a man to 10 years of imprisonment for causing grievous injuries to a woman at Ancholai near Thuckalay on April 22, 2010.
There was enmity between John Hitler of Medukattuvilai and C. Stanley of Kanchikuzhi. On the day of the incident, Stanley had brought his sister C. Dolly to drop her at Alancholai bus stop. On seeing them, Hitler rushed towards Stanley and started attacking him. Stanley fell down and managed to flee, following which Hitler abused Dolly, dragged her for some distance and pushed her down from a bridge
Dolly sustained grievous injuries.
Thuckalay police registered a case.
Judge A. Muthu Saradha sentenced Hitler to 10-year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000.
