Man arrested after entering air force base

A man from Chhattisgarh, who sneaked into the Uchipuli Airforce base after scaling a fence, has been arrested, police said.

The intruder V. Sureshkumar Pari (26) of Ambikapur in Chattisgarh had used cover of darkness to scale the fence last night. He was nabbed by air base staff and handed over to Lt. Commander Pyush Malik, who in turn handed him over to police.

It was not immediately known why he entered the airbase, police said, adding that nothing incriminating was seized from him.
