A twenty-two-year old maid servant employed by Rajya Sabha MP L. Sasikala Pushpa, who was recently expelled from the AIADMK for ‘anti-party’ activities, has alleged that she and her sister suffered sexual harassment at the hands of the MP’s husband T. Lingesvara Thilakan and son L. Pradeep Raja. Both the girls approached the District Police Office in Thoothukudi on Monday and submitted a petition seeking action against the MP, her husband, son and also her mother, who allegedly tortured them.

In the petition, the victim, a resident of Aanaikudi, Thisaiyanvilai, Tirunelveli district, stated that while she was expected to be at the beck and call of the MP, the latter’s husband and son harassed her sexually. The girl claimed that she attempted to escape from the MP’s house in Chennai in August 2015.

Angered over this, the MP along with her husband and mother is alleged to have assaulted the victim. They reportedly forced her to sign on a blank paper and warned her of dire consequences in case she revealed what had happened to her.
