To improve the economic status of the minority people, individual loans for starting of small units and educational loans were given at low interest rate to them.
The target for 2012-13 was Rs. 3.25 core and 346 beneficiaries received Rs. 1.55 crore, Chairman of State Minority Commission Bishop M. Prakash said here on Tuesday. Participating in a review meeting at the Collectorate, Mr. Prakash distributed welfare assistance to 31 people.Representatives from the minority community said that ‘no objection’ certificates for marriages were not issued on time, thereby causing hardship.

Mr. Prakash said that after submitting the applications for getting NOC, officials should deliver the certificate in three weeks.An auto driver said that he was denied loan for purchase of vehicle and repeated representations to officials concerned did not produce any results.Additional Collector (Development) Sandeep Nanduri, Deputy Commissioner of Police A.G.
