M.V. Aadithya Mahesh, hailing from a village in Vilavancode taluk of Kanniyakumari district has been declared as the topper in MBBS rank list. Her cut off mark is 200.
Ms. Mahesh scored 1194 out of 1200 in Plus Two under the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board with Malayalam as her second language. She studied at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Vazhuthancad, Thiruvananthapuram.
She scored 194 in English and centum in Malayalam (second language), Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
Delighted over getting the topper in MBBS ranking, Ms. Mahesh told The Hindu over phone from Thiruvananthapuram that her hard work, encouragement from her parents, teachers fetched the top rank in the State. She said that she dedicates the feat to her parents and teachers.
She studied SSLC in CBSE stream in a school in Kerala got 9.5 CGPA.
Her mother Vanaja Kumari studied up to Plus Two gave all comforts during the last two years. The family moved to a house nearer to the school for her study. The girl also went for coaching institution, she said.
The girl’s father S. Manikandan, a degree holder and her brother finished B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering are working in Qatar.
