JCI initiates ‘Samadhan’ project

An ambitious ‘Samadhan’ project mooted by Junior Chamber International (JCI) aimed at constructing better toilet facilities for girl students in various government schools began here on Tuesday.

“Under the project, we are now planning to improve the toilet facilities at 10 government schools in Tirupur by constructing additional toilet blocks,” Sheetal Gandhi, the National Organisation Member of JCI, told The Hindu .

She pointed out that some of the schools with over 200 students have just one toilet, and hence, the need for creation of additional toilet blocks had arisen.

The project was launched with the construction of new toilet block at the panchayat union school situated at Neruparichal.
