Indian gaur attacks woman

A 55-year-old woman, Ayyammal of Maharajapuram, suffered a fracture on her right hand after an Indian gaur attacked her in a farmland close to forest area near Mavoothu under Watrap police station limits on Wednesday.

The police said the victim had gone to the farm of one Ganesan for collecting cattle feed in the morning. When she was cutting the feed, the wild animal suddenly attacked her. She suffered a fracture on her hand and was rushed to Watrap Government Hospital.

Later, she was shifted to a private hospital in Madurai.
