May 30, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - Tiruvannamalai:

Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sevur S. Ramachandran, who represents Tiruvannamalai district, in the State Cabinet visited the landmark temple of the district, Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple, for the first time after assuming charge as Minister.

He had dharshan of the deities.

However he avoided press and said that he came only to have dharshan. Earlier, Collector A. Gnanasekaran called on him when he came to Tiruvannamalai. When he came to his hometown Arani on Saturday Mr. Ramachandran was given a rousing reception as he turned out to be the first Minister from Arani.
