Welcoming the Madras High Court’s nod for fuel loading in the first of the 2 X 1,000 MWe reactor of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), Site Director of the up-and-coming nuclear park R.S. Sundar said on Friday that enriched uranium loading would commence after the arrival of officials from the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) next week.
Reacting to the verdict, Mr. Sundar said the AERB officials would seek to reassure themselves about parameters already checked in the first nuclear reactor, which is now awaiting enriched uranium fuel assemblies. Meanwhile, the People’s Movement Against Nuclear Energy said it would go on appeal against the verdict after thoroughly going through it.

Our's Is DemoNcracy Not Democracy
It is quite unfortunate that the Madras High Court has given the green signal for the KKNP, not withstanding the scathing remarks the CAG made against the functioning of the AERB.
The agitation for justice has to go on and our final solace is only the Supreme Court, whom we hope will listen to us and intervene in the right way so that justice will win!!
