The Tangedco personnel were replacing worn out power lines three days ago at Umarikottai and on Thursday evening a wireman of Tangedco was asked to remove the grounded wire from the accident site.

Despite being informed about this, the wireman was lackadaisical in removing the live wire thereby causing the death of the girl, he said.
