Free training programme

Indian Overseas Bank Rural Self-Employment Training Institute near Thilagar Thidal here will impart 16-day free training on ‘house wiring and electrical appliances servicing’ to benefit rural unemployed youth from May 6. In a release issued here on Wednesday, S. Ramesh, Director of the Institute, said that candidates should have passed Standard VIII and should be in the age group of 18 to 35 years. A certificate will be given to the trainees. Interested persons should submit their application along with passport size photographs and photocopies of their certificates on or before May 5.

Observers hold meeting with agents

Expenditure Observers for the district, at a meeting of mobile phone re-charge service agents here on Wednesday, urged the agents to immediately inform the election authorities about any bulk re-charge by any individual or institution. They also advised the agents to maintain a register of the customers visiting their re-charge units.
