Four models selected for State science expo

The district-level science exhibition organised by the Education Department here on Saturday evoked overwhelming response from the students.

A total of 283 models prepared by students of Pudukottai and Aranthangi educational districts were displayed on the occasion for selection for the State-level contest.Students were given options to select a model on any one of the topics “health, nutrition and cleanliness”, “resource management”; “agriculture and food safety”; “disaster management” and “mathematics for a quality life”. N. Subramanian, Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare, inaugurated the expo and, accompanied by officials and C. Vijay Kumar, Minister for Health, he inspected the various exhibits. Of them, four models were selected for the State-level expo to be held shortly, according to official sources. The model on satellite, rocket, tissue culture and ‘universal life’ were selected for the State contest.
