Four injured

Four passengers were injured when a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus overturned on the ghat road connecting Manimuthar dam and Manjolai tea estate in the Western Ghats on Monday evening.

Police said the bus, going to Kallidaikurichi from Nalumukku tea estate in the Western Ghats overturned while negotiating a sharp bend situated about 4 km away from Manimuthar Falls around 6.45 p.m. Four of the 37 passengers of the bus sustained injuries, and were taken to Ambasamudram Government Hospital.

Cheranmahadevi Sub-Collector V. Vishnu, on getting information, dispatched a team of officials and four ambulances to the spot to expedite rescue operations and shift the injured to the hospital immediately.
