Spate of burglaries
Burglars struck at three different houses at at Kaveripattinam on Saturday.
Police sources said the burglary took place at the house of Perumal of Nadupayyur village and decamped with around five sovereign of jewellery. The incident took place when the family members had left for work.
In another incident, 7.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery were stolen from the house of Nanjundan of Manipaadikottai on the same day. In the third incident around 2.5 sovereigns of gold jewellery was stolen from the house of Saravanan, wage labourer, near Malayandahalli. Kaveripattinam police have registered cases into the three incidents reported from same area.
