Thoothukudi farmers get crop loans
Crop loans valued at Rs.1.55 crore were given to 125 farmers in various parts of the district, Collector M. Ravikumar said here on Monday
Addressing media persons, he said disbursal of crop loans commenced in the district on Saturday and he appealed to the farmers to utilise the opportunity.
On Monday, the Collector extended crop loan of Rs. 26.60 lakh to 14 farmers from Agaram and Kovangadu. These farmers had raised banana crop and were members of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Credit Society, Pazhayakayal.
The loans were provided through District Central Cooperative Bank, Eral, he said.
