Farmer electrocuted in Gurubarapalli

A farmer was electrocuted after tripping over an illegally erected electric fence over a farm land here in Gurubarapalli on Wednesday.

The victim, Nakulan (50) of Marudepalli village, along with his friend Sivasankaran (45) had gone into Palathottarayan hills on Tuesday night to hunt rabbits. While returning, Nakulam had tripped over a concealed electric fence. The fence was installed by Venkatesan around his mango grove at Gurubarapalli.

While Nakulan was electrocuted, Sivasankaran sustained injuries.

Seized

Gurubarapalli police seized the country guns and rabbit carcasses.

A case was registered against Venkatesan.
