The district administration has asked ex-servicemen interested in security duty for the May 16 Assembly elections to assemble at the district sports stadium at 8 a.m. on May 14. They should bring the original discharge certificate, identity card and voter’s identity card.
According to a release, the ex-servicemen are being deployed on security duty for the polling day. For those working in TEXCO, the election duty will be considered as on duty.
As per the request of the ex-servicemen, food allowance would be increased. For details, contact the assistant director of ex-servicemen welfare.
