English medium classes are to be started from this (2016-17) academic year in the model school built in Perungattur village of Jawadu hills under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
According to a release from District Collector A. Gnanasekaran the school has modern class rooms, computer room, library and laboratory etc.
English medium is to be launched for class VI to class XII.
Safe hostel for the girl students belonging to classes IX to XII of the school is to start functioning near the school from this academic year. Students of villages in the region should make use of it, he added.
