Two women who came in contact with a live wire were electrocute d at Kondalampatti here on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Selvi (34), wife of Chinraj of Nattamangalam, and Santhi (50), wife of Muthusamy, of the same area. On Friday night, Santhi touched an iron rod which was in contact with a live wire and she was electrocuted. Selvi, who attempted to save her, was also electrocuted. The bodies were taken to Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital and post-mortem examination done on Saturday and handed over to relatives. Kondalampatti police have registered a case.
