Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami will continue to lead the State government for the next four years with the support of 122 MLAs, Forests Minister C. Srinivasan said here on Sunday.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in which he distributed welfare measures to differently-abled beneficiaries, he noted that the current government had completed 10 months of its tenure successfully. Terming the reports of infighting in the party and the opposition’s view that the government could fall anytime soon as ‘false propaganda’, he asserted that the government will complete its term without any hassle. “We will fulfil all the promises made during the last Assembly election. The government has been striving to implement welfare schemes for the people,” he added.

Echoing his view, Dairy Development Minister K. T. Rajenthra Bhalaji said that the differences between the opposing factions would be settled within a week. Addressing mediapersons in Kodaikanal, he said, “The current AIADMK government, formed by Jayalalithaa in May 2016, will fulfil all poll promises.”

“A memorial for our leader will be set up at a cost of ₹60 crore. Soon, the Ministers designated for this purpose will inspect the site and chalk out plans for implementation of the project,” he added.
