ED questioning of Iqbal Singh continues

Officials from the Mumbai office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday continued their questioning of Lieutenant Governor (LG) Iqbal Singh for the second consecutive day in connection with his recommendation for speedy issuance of passport to tax evader Hasan Ali Khan.

Speaking to reporters outside the Raj Nivas, Private Secretary to the LG S. Srinivasan said that a four-member team from the ED questioned Mr. Singh from 12 pm to 3.30 pm on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the sources from the Raj Nivas said that Mr. Singh would reach Chennai early on Wednesday morning and was expected to take a flight to New Delhi.
