Driver found dead in car

A man was found dead in a car near Adyar on Wednesday.

According to police sources, Subramani (40), driver of the car, was last seen sleeping in the vehicle with the air-conditioner on at 10.15 p.m. on Tuesday on Marymatha fourth street in Kandanchavidi.

After the car remained at the same place till early on Wednesday, people alerted the police. When a windowpane was broke open, Subramani was found dead. “Though we suspect a leak of carbon monoxide, the exact cause of death will be known only after chemical analysis. The body has been shifted to the Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Adyar) Karthikeyan said.
