Former Minister Geetha Jeevan has been appointed the DMK’s Thoothukudi north district unit secretary in the wake of the demise of her father N. Periasamy, who held the post.
The district unit comprises Thoothukudi, Vilathikulam and Kovilpatti Assembly constituencies.
Anita R. Radhakrishnan, ex-minister has been named Thoothukudi south district unit secretary. The post was earlier held by A. Subramani. The unit comprises Tiruchendur, Srivaikuntam and Ottapidaram Assembly constituencies.
