DMK MLAs led by Stalin on Thursday, are staging a dharna inside Fort St. George demanding entry into the office of the Opposition leader. The protest is happening in front of gate no.4

They caught the Assembly official by surprise by visiting the Assembly much earlier than the scheduled time.

However, eight DMK members who could not attend the house on Wednesday, and thus escaped the suspension order of the speaker are attending the house, in progress now.

The Congress and IUML MLAs also staged a walkout in support of the DMK.

Former Minister and DMK member I. Periyasamy, who is attending the house, requested speaker P. Dhanapal to reconsider his ruling. The Speaker refused to do so.
