A distant cautionary signal No.1 has been hoisted at the Port office complex here signalling depression along the North of Bay of Bengal.

Speaking to The Hindu , A.J.Maniksha, Port Officer stated that the depression was centred near 20 degree North Latitude and 90.5 degree East Longitude at about 5.30 IST.

The depression was around 350 kilometers East-South-East of Digha in West Bengal and the system was likely to intensify and move towards North-Eastwards and cross Bangladesh coast between Chittagong and Cox Bazaar by Wednesday night or Thursday.
