Cruise vessel calls on VOC Port

A cruise vessel with 100 passengers of various nationalities on board called on the V.O. Chidambaranar Port here on Saturday. The Bahamas-flagged ship ‘Island Sky’ arrived from Colombo port at 7 a.m. Ninety-five passengers, who were from Australia, United Kingdom, Canada among other countries, left for sightseeing. Edmond, Managing Director, Adele Shipping, Tuticorin, told The Hindu that 23 passengers visited Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai and 72 others spent time at Sawyerpuram in Tuticorin. The ship departed for Vizhinjam port in the evening.
