Cash seized

Flying squad personnel, on Saturday, seized cash of Rs. 1,00,100 from Sadasivam of Kodumudi in Erode district. The seizure was effected for want of valid documents during the course of vehicle check-up at the check-post at Alathur Gate. The cash was deposited with the Treasury.

Devola Devi Das has been nominated as General Observer for the Gandarvakottai (Res) and the Viralimalai Assembly segments in the district. An official release here on Saturday said that persons in need of lodging any complaint can contact the General Observer by calling 9442075178. A daily meeting would be held at the Mini Meeting hall at the Collector’s Office here at 5 p.m. when the General Observer will listen to the complaints, the release added. Similar arrangements have been made for Govinda Ch. Sethi who is the General Observer for the Pudukottai and Tirumayam Assembly constituencies. He can be contacted by calling 94426-15180 and at the mini meeting hall at 5 p.m., the release added.
