Bodies of two jawans arrive

The bodies of CRPF jawans, B. Mohanarangan of Kolathur in Chennai and Sekar of Vellore, who were among those killed in an ambush by Maoists in Chhattisgarh, arrived at the Chennai airport at 10.30 p.m. on Thursday.

Mohanarangan's brother, B. Ragupathy, said “My brother joined the CRPF in 1982. He had served as personal security officer to various political leaders, including former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, BJP leader L.K. Advani and former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.”

Mohanarangan is survived by his wife Sujatha and daughter Anusha.

At his residence, the District Collector (in-charge) T. Munusami and Member of Parliament T.K.S. Elangovan were present.
