The State government and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National University of Singapore, on ‘Master Plan on Ease of Doing Business in AP: Vision 2020.’
Speaking at the event in Singapore, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said, “This is one more milestone in our journey together. We have procedures and policies that hamper business. In Singapore, it has become easy to do business.” Observing that the State government was keen to work with the NUS, he said, “If possible we would like to have your campus in our State.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister and the Andhra Pradesh delegation attended another business seminar and interacted with businessmen and industrialists. The delegation had an interactive meet with investors from Ascendas and Sembcorp. The Chief Minister discussed various areas where IT Parks, Power Plants and Townships could be constructed in the State. Loh Ah Tuan, Strategic Advisor to Centre for Liveable cities (CLC) made a special presentation to the Chief Minister on their efforts to reduce and recycle waste in the country.
