Amma canteens inaugurated in Tuticorin, Kanyakumari

Two more Amma canteens — at Kovilpatti and Kayalpattinam — and a pharmacy shop were declared open in the district through video-conferencing by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa from Chennai on Sunday. Collector M. Ravikumar visited the canteens and the pharmacy that was established near the Tuticorin new bus stand.

Kanyakumari

Ms. Jayalalithaa declared open four canteens in four municipalities of Kanyakumari district also through video-conferencing.

The canteens are in Vadaseri bus stand and on Kanyakumari Government Medical College Hospital premises here. The other two canteens are in the market in Padmanabhapuramn near Marthandam bus stand in Kuzhithurai and in Colachel town.

Nagercoil MLA Nanjil A. Murugesan, district panchayat chairman M.S. Saradhamani and Nagercoil municipal chairperson Meena Dev among others were present at Vadaseri.
