Vellore: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam staged a demonstration demanding that the pending salaries Tamil Nadu Industrial Explosives Limited (TEL) employees be released. The staff haven’t received salary for five months now.

Senior DMK leader Durai Murugan led the demonstration in Katpadi on Saturday. The protesters demanded the government to immediately disburse the pending salary and not to toy with the idea of privatising the company.

They said while the DMK was in power the employees of the company never experienced trouble.

Party MLAs R. Gandhi, A.P. Nandhakumar and P. Karthikeyan and party central district presidium chairman T.A.Mohammed Sahi were among those participated.
