Ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s candidates Nainar Nagenthran (Tirunelveli), S.K.A. Haider Ali (Palayamkottai), M. Vijayakumar (Nanguneri), I.S. Inbadurai (Radhapuram), Hepzi Karthikeyan (Alangulam), R. Murugaiah Pandian (Ambasamudram), C. Selva Mohandas Pandian (Tenkasi), Shaik Dawood (Kadayanallur), A. Manoharan (Vasudevanallur - Reserved) and V.M. Rajalakshmi (Sankarankovil - Reserved) and their ‘dummy candidates’ filed their nominations to the Returning Officers concerned between 12.50 p.m. and 1.20 p.m.
Former Minister Nainar Nagenthran has declared assets worth Rs. 17.15 crore and liabilities at Rs. 5 crore in the affidavit he submitted along with the nomination on Thursday. In 2011, he had declared assets worth Rs. 8.49 crore while his borrowings stood at Rs. 2.29 crore.
Mr. Murugaiah Pandian, who is the chairman of Tamil Nadu Housing Board Corporation, has declared assets worth Rs. 3.10 crore.
In Tirunelveli segment, S. Udaiyar of Hindu Makkal Katchi, A. Viyanarasu of Naam Thamizhar Katchi, V. Kokila (dummy candidate of Naam Thamizhar Katchi) and Namasivayam (dummy candidate of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) also filed their nominations.
Similarly, 8 nominations for Kadayanallur, 11 nominations for Nanguneri, 10 nominations each for Alangulam and Radhapuram, 12 nominations for Vasudevanallur (Reserved), 9 nominations for Tenkasi, 8 nominations for Ambasamudram, 14 nominations for Palayamkottai and 9 nominations for Sankarankovil (reserved) segments were filed on Thursday.
