52,703 to sit for SSLC examination in Vellore

SSLC examinations are scheduled to begin with Tamil paper-I on Wednesday, and a total of 52,703 students will be appearing for the examination across Vellore district.

An official of the School Education Department, Vellore, said a total of 26,189 girls and 26,514 boys from 587 schools will be taking the examination in the district. As many as 73 differently abled students will be also appearing for the exam and scribes have been arranged for 54 of them.

Apart from regular students, a total of 3,280 private candidates will also sit for the examination. There are a total of 207 examination centres and a total of 2,724 teachers have been deputed as hall invigilators, he added.
